2. What information we collect

Online CalcKit is designed to do as little as possible with your data. Specifically:

2.1 Information you give us

The calculators run entirely in your browser. Numbers and dates you enter (e.g. your income for a rent affordability check, your date of birth for an age calculation) are used only to compute the result on your device. We do not transmit, store, or log the values you enter into the calculators.

If you contact us by email, we will receive your email address and the content of your message. We use this only to respond.

2.2 Information collected automatically

Our web server logs basic technical information about visits — IP address, browser type, referring page, and timestamps. These logs are kept for security and operational diagnostics and are typically rotated within 30 days. We do not use them to profile individual visitors.

2.3 Local browser storage

When you select a region (UK, USA, EU) we save that choice in your browser's localStorage under the key onlinecalckit:region. This is stored only on your device, never transmitted to us, and you can clear it at any time through your browser's site settings.

2.4 Analytics

We use a lightweight, cookie-less analytics tracker operated by AI Regenesis (the same company that runs Online CalcKit), served from regeninsite.com. The tracker collects aggregate page-view information — URLs visited, referring page, browser type, screen dimensions, and an approximate location derived from your IP address — to help us understand which calculators are used and where to focus improvements.

The tracker does not set cookies, does not assign a persistent identifier, and does not track you across sessions. No data is shared with advertising networks or third parties. The values you enter into the calculators are never transmitted — they are processed entirely in your browser, as described in section 2.1.

Because the tracker is cookie-less and collects only aggregate, non-identifying information, it falls outside the scope of EU/UK PECR cookie-consent rules. If you still wish to opt out, block regeninsite.com in your browser's content blocker.

2.5 Advertising (Google AdSense)

Online CalcKit uses Google AdSense (publisher ID ca-pub-5603132116160851) to display advertisements. Google and its advertising partners may set cookies on your device to deliver and measure ads. These cookies may collect data such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit on this site, and a unique identifier used for advertising purposes.

For visitors in the UK and EU, where consent is required for personalised advertising under PECR / ePrivacy rules, a consent banner is shown before non-essential ad cookies are set, and you can withdraw consent at any time.

3. Lawful basis for processing

Where the UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies to the limited information we hold:

• Server logs and security data are processed under our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)) in keeping the site secure and operational.
• Email correspondence you send us is processed under our legitimate interest in responding to your enquiry.
• Advertising cookies and similar technologies, when enabled, are processed only with your explicit consent (Article 6(1)(a) and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003).

4. Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

• Hosting providers for serving the site (currently a UK-based VPS provider).
• Google LLC, when AdSense is enabled, for the limited purposes described in section 2.4.
• Law enforcement and regulators, where we are legally required to comply with a valid request.

5. International transfers

AI Regenesis Ltd is based in the UK. If you visit from elsewhere, your information is transferred to and processed in the UK. Where we rely on processors based outside the UK or EU (e.g. Google LLC in the United States), transfers are governed by appropriate safeguards including the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

6. How long we keep data

Server logs are retained for up to 30 days. Email correspondence is kept for as long as needed to handle your enquiry, and may be retained for up to 12 months thereafter for our records. Advertising cookies set by Google AdSense have their own retention periods set by Google — see Google's privacy policy for details.

7. Your rights

Under the UK GDPR and EU GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you (right of access).
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete data (right to rectification).
• Request deletion of your data (right to erasure).
• Restrict or object to our processing (rights to restriction and objection).
• Receive your data in a portable format (right to data portability).
• Withdraw consent for cookie-based advertising at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, email bryan@ai-regenesis.com. We will respond within one month, in line with UK GDPR / EU GDPR timelines.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your personal data, you have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or your local EU data-protection authority. We would, however, appreciate the chance to address your concerns first — please contact us before lodging a complaint.

8. Children's privacy

Online CalcKit is a general-audience site and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page reflects the most recent change. Material changes (for example, the introduction of advertising cookies) will be flagged on the site before they take effect.
